FDLA's Florida International Dental Technology Symposium and Expo 2003 will be held on May 22-24, 2003 at the Radisson Hotel Universal located at the entrance to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Each year, over 1,000 laboratory owners, technicians, exhibitors and students from across the globe descend upon Orlando to take part in one of the industry's largest and most popular displays of dental laboratory products and services. This year's symposium will prove to be even better than last year!

The Symposium kicks off at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2003 with the scramble start of the Annual Matheson Memorial Open Golf Tournament at the popular MetroWest Golf Club. Heraeus Kulzer, Inc. is sponsoring the golf tournament this year, and is also providing prizes for the Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and a $25,000 putt.

This years keynote presentation will be held on Friday, May 23rd, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with world-renowned ceramist Willi Geller. Geller has become known worldwide for his work and regularly shares his knowledge and experience in the world of oral design through lectures and classes.

The Florida Dental Technology Expo will open on Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m., with over 80 exhibits showcasing the latest products and services in the dental technology industry. Some of the largest names in the industry will be presenting their new and exciting products to all attendees.

Friday evening will close with a reception at Pat O'Brien's in Universal Studio's City Walk complex from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. After the reception, guests will have the opportunity to visit the many restaurants and clubs located within the City Walk complex, which is conveniently located across the street from the Radisson Hotel.

Starting at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 24th, several clinics totaling over 25 hours of continuing education credit will be offered to conference attendees. There will be a wide range of topics available, including courses on esthetics, restorative systems, ceramics, infection control and personnel management. Full Registrants can earn the 12 hours of continuing education credit required for CDT or RG renewal. The expo hall will also be open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The National Board for Certification (NBC) will be hosting the Certified Dental Technician Comprehensive Written Exam on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Any candidates interested in taking the exam at the Symposium and Expo must register with NBC by May 2nd, as onsite registration for the exam will not be available.

This year's Florida International Dental Technology Symposium and Expo will prove to be the most exciting and informative to date! With a total of over 30 continuing education credit hours available, attendees will have the opportunity to earn CDT credits and have fun while they learn the latest trends and techniques in the dental technology industry.

FDLA promotes the interests of Florida's dental laboratories. Membership is made up of registered dental laboratories, technicians, staff members and suppliers engaged in the ethical practice of dental technology.
