FDLA Membership

The Florida Dental Laboratory Association is divided into six membership classifications:

Laboratory Member - Any commercial dental laboratory registered by the Florida Department of Health is eligible for Laboratory Membership. Membership shall be in the name of the laboratory as registered by the State of Florida. The owner, partner or designated representative shall represent the laboratory in meetings. The membership fee for a Laboratory Member is $200 for twelve months of membership.

Technician/Staff Member - Any dental technician/staff member of member laboratories, laboratory technicians employed in a dentist's office and technicians/staff members working with affiliate members are eligible for Technician/Staff Membership. The member shall be entitled to all services, social events and educational activities of the association. The membership fee for a Technician/Staff member is $50 for twelve months of membership.

Laboratory Incentive Program NEW! - Recently, FDLA started a new program for laboratory members which offers a discount for multiple Technician/Staff memberships based on the number of active technician memberships at each laboratory.  The breakdown is as follows:

Affiliate Member - The affiliate membership category is for individuals who own or manage a dental office and support the mission of the association but do not qualify for Laboratory Membership. Out of state dental laboratories also qualify for the affiliate membership category. The member shall be entitled to all services, social events and educational activities of the association. The membership fee for an Affiliate Member is $200 for twelve months of membership.

Associate Member - Any sales or technician representative of suppliers, manufacturers and vendors are eligible for Associate Membership. The member shall be entitled to all services, social events and educational activities of the association. The membership fee for an Associate Member is $225 for twelve months of membership.

Student Member - Any student from an educational institution in Florida offering a dental technology program is eligible for Student Membership. The member shall be entitled to all services, social events and educational activities of the association. The membership fee for a Student Member is $15 for twelve months of membership.

Retired Technician - Any dental technician that has retired from the industry and no longer works within the laboratory is eligible for a Retired Technician Membership. The member shall be entitled to all services, social events and educational activities of the association. The membership fee for a Retired Technician Member is $35 for twelve months of membership.
